ISN is pleased to announce that IHI E&C International Corporation—a global engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company—has implemented ISN’s industry-leading contractor management platform ISNetworld to help ensure that its subcontractors are in compliance with its safety and performance standards. In addition to supporting IHI E&C’s commitment to excellence, this new relationship represents an opportunity for ISN to further expand into the EPC industry.
Safety, commitment, performance and accountability
Headquartered in Houston, Texas, IHI E&C takes projects from conception to completion. In fact, it was recently awarded a contract by Kinder Morgan to oversee the Elba Liquefaction Project along Georgia’s Atlantic coast. This $2 billion project will involve modifying Kinder Morgan’s existing re-gasification terminal at Elba Island to receive liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the new liquefaction facilities. Given the size and scope of these types of projects, IHI E&C is keenly aware of the importance of effectively managing its subcontractors to ensure a safe workplace environment.
“Implementing ISNetworld is part of our continuing efforts toward process improvement and will enable us to hold all subcontractors to the same standards of performance,” says Eric Balkom, Vice President–Projects at IHI E&C. “This important tool also aligns with and supports our commitments to excellence in HSE (health, safety and environment), Performance Beyond the Norm and Accountability,” he continues.
Lincoln King, Manager of ISN’s Subcontractor Management Team, says “We recognize that valuable time and resources are spent managing subcontractors’ information that provide a broad range of services to diverse industries. We look forward to expanding our working relationship with IHI E&C to streamline their HSE requirements for their subcontractors.”
