ISN Contributes to Louisiana Flood Relief Efforts

ISN Team - 23 Aug 2016

The Louisiana flood first struck on August 12, 2016 and has continued to force residents in 20 parishes out of their homes. In the wake of the flood disaster, Americans on all levels have donated millions to charities like the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army and the United Way. These contributions enable volunteers to bring in relief supplies and provide meals, basic health items and emergency shelters to those in need.

As of August 22, 2016, the flooding has damaged 60,000 homes and claimed at least 13 lives according to ABC News. ISN made a $5,000 donation to the American Red Cross for relief efforts in Louisiana, as over 4,000 of our customers reside in the state.

Brad Kieserman, Vice President of Disaster Services Operations and Logistics for the Red Cross, stated “Thousands of people in Louisiana have lost everything they own and need our help now.” The Red Cross has asked for donations to assist over 7,000 people in emergency shelters.

Our thoughts are with those affected by the recent flooding. If you wish to donate to the flooding victims in Louisiana, below is a list of organizations aiding relief efforts.
