ISN is pleased to announce the release of its latest series of annual publications. This two-part series includes the Contractor Performance Benchmarking by Industry Classifications & Work Types for the U.S. and Canada. These reports are aimed at providing contractors important health and safety performance indicator information that can be used to benchmark a contractor’s performance against that of its industry peers.
With more than 60,000 contractors and suppliers actively reporting information through ISNetworld, ISN’s online contractor management platform, and more than 12 billion hours of work activity reported in 2014, these benchmarking publications include valuable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
KPIs presented in the U.S. report include TRIR, nonfatal TRIR, DART, fatality rate, total number of fatalities and incident severity (in days). These KPIs are grouped by North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes and ISN Work Types for added granularity.
The Canadian Contractor Performance Benchmarking publication includes Workers’ Compensation industry codes used in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Saskatchewan as well as KPIs grouped by ISN Work Type designations. The KPIs highlighted in this report include TRF, LTF, fatality rate, total number of fatalities and incident severity (in days).
“ISN’s publications provide specific and measurable data that can help organizations drive continuous health and safety improvements throughout the workplace,” said Dag Yemenu, ISN Senior Vice President of Technical & Customer Services. “Contractors can leverage this information to establish an objective baseline for their performance targets each year.”
