Update 2-27-2020

Leveraging the company’s generous 2:1 charitable gift matching program, ISN employees have raised an additional $12,000 to support the relief, rebuild and recovery efforts in Australia.

Over the last several weeks, heavy rains have helped extinguish most bushfires allowing the regions to focus on increasing tourism to help the economy of the areas affected most by the fires. In addition to the funds raised for recovery support, some ISN employees have made it a point to visit the impacted regions to help boost tourism and the rebuilding process.

Bushfires in Australia have been raging in every state in the country since late July 2019. An unprecedented 10 million hectares (24.7 million acres) have burned, more than 2,000 homes have been destroyed or damaged, and 24 people have died. Environmental scientists at the World Wildlife Fund Australia and ecologists at the University of Sydney estimate more than a billion animals have died.

“Our thoughts are with those affected by the bushfires in Australia as they deal with the immediate and long-term impact of the fires on their communities and states,” said ISN CEO Joseph Eastin.

More than 1,000 Hiring Client and contractor companies who partner with ISN are located and work in the areas impacted by the bushfires. To support relief efforts, ISN has made a $25,000 AUD donation to Australian Red Cross.

In addition to the company’s donation, qualifying volunteer and monetary donations made by ISN employees will be matched 2:1.
