More than 450 ISN employees participated in ISN’s annual Volunteer Day by helping almost 20 Dallas-area non-profit organizations. Some of the charities included Dallas LIFE, Meals on Wheels, Goodwill, SPARK!, Educational First Steps, The Bridge, Scottish Rite Hospital and The Family Place.
“I’m excited to see an organization like ISN giving back,” said Mayor Mike Rawlings. “The citizens of Dallas are who make this city great. While it is wonderful to give back on a day such as ISN’s Volunteer Day, it is equally as important to donate to a cause you are passionate about, and see the positive impact it has on people and the community of Dallas.”
“We are grateful for the ISN employees who volunteered at Dallas LIFE this past Thursday. The group served lunch, cleaned the dining room, organized toiletries and baby supplies, stuffed backpacks with school supplies and put together care bags for children,” said Pamela Culbertson, Director of Volunteerism and Children at Dallas LIFE. “They came to serve and put us in a great position to meet the needs of our residents as we move into a very busy time of the year. We were truly blessed by the ISN group that served at Dallas LIFE.”
In addition to volunteering throughout the community and learning about each organization’s mission, ISN employees were able to raise funds and make a donation to Assist the Officer Foundation, which provides financial assistance to Dallas Police Officers and their families suffering from a serious injury, life-threatening illness or other catastrophic event.
“ISN team members were a huge help at The Bridge during their visit last week! From cleaning and organizing, to hosting a popcorn party for our guests, we are most grateful for their generosity and time,“ said Jay Dunn, President & CEO at The Bridge.
