The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will hold its Oil & Gas Safety and Health Conference in Houston on November 29-30 this year. The conference—which is being held in partnership with The University of Texas at Arlington, OSHA Education Center—offers a unique opportunity for the industry to partner with OSHA, particularly as key decision makers within management and executive positions come together to improve safety performance by discussing the importance of industry cooperation, defining best practices, knowledge sharing and relationship building.

The tracks for this year’s event include:

  • Contractor safety management and best practices
  • Drilling and well control/well servicing and completions
  • Engineering controls, process safety events and mitigation
  • OSHA regulatory/industrial hygiene

By promoting a collaborative relationship between industry leaders and regulatory agencies, the conference plays a significant role in expanding educational opportunities and enhancing the safety of onshore oil and gas operations in the United States.
